I had a similar moment in a home decorating store. We are transforming the flat we bought late August and are planning on moving in next week, after our wedding anniversary. Yesterday we were looking at shelving and I automatically enquired about delivery and installation service. Husband was crushed. How could I consider hiring someone to put up the shelving when he can do it? I was only thinking that with so much to be done he would appreciate not having to worry about the shelving.
