Hi Suzanne, I know your Mom, Willow, she has come into mylife at a time where I needed additional support and of course she is there with an open mind and heart.

I am currently reading "Eat, Pray, Love" and I
read it in small doses in order to absorb the incredible amount of wisdom and underline what I feel are very profound statements. I grew up in the late 60's, the seventies and the eighties but I feel at 46, my biggest growth Spurt is right NOW!

My mother hsd three girls of which I am the oldest. She married later in life and went from her father's house to her husband's house. Very timid and very self conscious until her mid forties, she broke out of the mold she had cast for herself and got a JOB! Horrors...My father and grandparents were extremely un supportive but she hung there and though she stayed married(50 years this April) she has blossomed into a stronger woman...with some very conservative throwback ideas. I am proud of her and though she does not understand what is "going on" with me and worries about my future, she has remained "Switzerland" and has offered limited support as I realize I am not in love with my second husband.

I struggle with the guilt of hurting a man who has supported me in Oh so many ways and truly loves me, but I have realized I can not be with one man all the rest of my life. Thanks for offering this creative support on one women's journey to Grow UP and be true to myself!

Thank you. Her book is really, really good. I wish I had read it a long time ago. But, then she would have had to write it a decade ago!
