Americans consumed an estimated 11 MILLION pounds of potato chips during the Super Bowl. We spent more at the grocery store preparing for the game than we did for Thanksgiving. Katurah went out to buy more food at least three times before the storm. CRAZY!

Take it from someone who hasn't seen grass in four months: snow shoveling is the BEST exercise ever. As for beer and sports, it would be unthinkable in Germany to have any event without at least a case of beer. Your husband IS German at heart! :)

There is something very special about a man and his grocery cart. If Alan doesn't come home with three times more of everything than I would buy, he doesn't feel he has done his full job. One year it took 6 months to eat it all, and we didn't skimp. But six pounds of grapes?

Haha, I have been basically trying to prevent my hubby from trying to go grocery shopping ALL yesterday evening and today (there is PLENTY of food, beer, wine) in our house but somehow he thinks we are lacking in those snacks as well... or maybe it is just an excuse to go checkout the storm, even though it has been made pretty clear that no one should be out on the roads.
