The Luvem or Leavem site published a terrific blog post recently on the fine line between the optimism love brings and having an unrealistic perspective. I believe we LBBs struggle with this one from time to time. I know I do. In fact, I’m going through something like this right now, which will require a whole other blog post another time. In the meantime, check out this post: Are You Optimistic or Unrealistic About Love?
Where are you in this debate?
I am 40 and have never been married. I want it all to get married and have children, not sure if I am dreaming or if it will really happen. Also, I have been single for some time now I think I am a great person, not bad looking I have a job, college diploma although the career section of my life has been difficult because I never ended up where I wanted to be.
I sometimes even think what is wrong with me, am I too old for someone to want? Most men want younger women, maybe this whole marriage / children thing has passed me by.
I am so glad to know I am not the only one out there
Never give up! I got married at 42 for the first time. And, if you check out the section “Interviews with the Brides” under the categories, you will see lots of older women walking down the aisle for the time later in life (including one over age 50!). Thanks for stopping by. Happy Reading!
