Greetings Gentle Readers. Pausing a moment from our 21 day purification program to bring you some news. Well, at least to me.
First, Mira Kirshenbaum blogs!
How this escaped me I will never know. As most of you know I am a Mira groupie. This psychologist author (of Too Good to Leave, Too Bad to Stay and many others) is so smart, so well articulated, so dead-on about all things related to relationships that I am reading everything she’s ever written.
Well, get this. She (and a partner, Dr. Charles Foster) have a blog! Has for years! Obviously I have been too busy reading her books. So, here you go, enjoy the wisdom.
Check out our blog roll for other cool blogs, too. Need something funny to read? Blue Skies and Yellow Dogs will have you howling. The Lingerie Addict can actually teach you how to get yourself in (and out of ) a corset. (Hey, you don’t want him to see you getting into it — just out of it — so you need to know how to pull those ribbons yourself.) Luvem or Leavem has fantastic dating advice. And, there’s more.
Finally, check out our music page. We’ve added some new playlists for your listening pleasure. We’ve built them to coordinate with certain stages of relationships or themes. See the title of the playlists at the top of the “boxes.”
We will now return to our regular programming of not drinking wine and ignoring those German cookies in the pantry.
I just read an article in Yahoo news about relationships and Ms. Kirshenbaum filled in the details and advice. Wondering if you or any of your readers place much validity in horoscope signs as predictors of success. I ask only because surface traits seem ever present in many people I know, men and women, what roll does it play in intimate partnerships? Thanks.
I don’t hold much hope in horoscope advice. But, if it gets you out and about and meeting people, then it’s a bonus!
Ms Kirshenbaum,
I just finished your book “I love you but I don’t trust you. I found it very good and hope that it will help us. However I do have one criticism and that is the “salty language. I feel it seriously detracts from an other wise fine book. I do not beleive that it is neccessary, other words could be substituted, and you would still get the point across. You could be cutting yourself off from a significant audiance such as more conservative Christians. Reword it for your second printing
Terry
I don’t know Ms Kirschenbaum. But, if I ever meet her, I’ll pass this along.
I had no idea Mira K had a blog. You know that I too love her books. They are really the most important books that I recommend to my audience because so many of them are torn between staying in a relationship that is mediocre rather than taking that leap and searching for an awesome relationship.
Thank you for the props. That’s very kind of you. we did a huge reprogramming so I haven’t been regular blog visiting self lately. Congratulations on the cleanse. That’s something I always say I might do but never actually start.
Yeah for Mira! Thanks, Tina.
Thank you so much for the link!
